Profesora Peary is the best! I walked into this class having taken Spanish for four years prior, but I never actually learned how to speak the language. She did majority speaking exercises, which I enjoyed a lot because I was actually learning how to speak the language and how to communicate. She always had stories to tell and showed genuine interest in our lives, which made me feel good with being at a big school. I genuinely enjoyed this course, especially being a STEM major. It was a nice breather where I was learning something useful as well. Coming from a hispanic family, I only really understand Spanish more than I can speak it, but I will definitely be practicing my speaking more with them. Thank you Profesora Peary for giving me the helpful foundation to improve upon my Spanish speaking even more!

Professor Peary is extremely sociable and energetic. Her presence makes learning fun. She is patient and adaptable, and she will stay with you after class to solve any difficulties or practice conversation. She cares about the students, and that is mostly a positive.
